  • Appoint a qualified flood restoration contractor to implement restoration and drying.Your Insurance Company will often try and force you to use a flood contractor and builder of their choice. You do not have to use their favoured contractor, who will be more inclined to act in the Insurers interest than yours-It is your Insurance Policy that you have paid the premiums for and you are legally entitled to use a contractor of your choice. If your Insurers try and insist that you use their contractor then insist upon your right to obtain other quotes to compete for the work. If their contractor is expensive then they will be using up your sum insured allowed for repairs and replacements.
